A few years ago I purchased some K Line Superstreet (pre-Lionel) prototypes that may have been photographed for the catalogue, but never produced. I have the tow truck and ambulance. I'm not sure if the seller was related to the K line founder as they shared the last name and were in North Carolina. Any idea what these should be priced at? Normally I check Ebay but I think that these are one of a kind or very limited. I'm not certain that I want to sell because I love Superstreets, but lately I've been down sizing.
Auction would be my guess. You might start with one of the auction houses like Stout to see if they have a suggestion. At the end of the day the market will tell you the value based on the bidding.
I agree with BigAl 956 about putting your prototypes up for auction.
I disagree as to where. Stout is well-known, of course. However I think if you put your items up for bids on ebay, there would be a lot more potential buyers who would see them.
