BEWARE BACKWARDS ANSWERS

1. Only 2,000 No. 6-21976 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Starter Sets were produced with the ubiquitous 4-4-2 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) wearing the “100 Years” (_ _ _ _) on it’s steam chests.  A (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)-trailer, cargo (_ _ _ _ _ _) and a pair of (_ _ _ _ _) crossings added play value to the set.
2. Thomas the (_ _ _ _) Engine pulled two sets.  The No. 6-21925 Island of (_ _ _ _ _) set came with a (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) center flatcar carrying (_ _ _ _ _ _) the Helicopter, a small (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) and a “(_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _)” plus Annie and (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _).
3. The other was the No. 7-21918 (_ _ _ _ _ _) Playset which omitted the flatcar and replaced the station with a (_ _ _ _) and “six fun circus (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)”.
4. The (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Flyer, set No. 6-21971, was led by a 4-4-2 with “puffing (_ _ _ _ _)” while the No. 6-21970 set used an RS-3 in (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Pacific’s “black (_ _ _ _ _)” paint scheme to pull three traditional freight cars.
5. The next steps up were the Nos. 6-21948 NYC Flyer pulled by a 4-4-2 with an air (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) and the 6-21972 SL-SF (_ _ _ _ _ _) Freight which used a GP-7 “(_ _ _ _)” with a (_ _ _ _) for motive power.
6. Lionel’s Atlantic (cab No. 8632) also hauled the No. 6-11900 (_ _ _ _ _ - _ _) Freight Set which had an (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) car; the No. 16715 AT&SF (_ _ _) car.  The No. 16941 flatcar with (_ _ _ _ _) and the extended (_ _ _ _ _ _)-eight of O27 track added even more appeal.
7. Available with either (_ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _) as the No. 6-21974, or with (_ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _) as the No. 6-21973, the all-new Santa Fe FT diesel pulled three streamlined passenger cars with full (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _).
8. Unlike the Nos. 5413 (6-28027) NYC and 1725 (6-28055) GN models, the also newly-tooled No. 4000 did lead a set in the year 2000.  The Nos. 6-21975 and 6-21989 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Route Steam Freight Sets.
9. Coming with an oval of O27 track and two bumpers was the No. 6-21969 Lionel (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) Trolley which had (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) of seven of Lionel’s leaders in it’s windows.
10. Wearing cab No. 5412, the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) New York (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) 4-6-4 (_ _ _ _ _ _) with firebox (_ _ _ _) pulled the four cars of set No. 6-21988 (6-21956 with Signal Sounds).
11. The cheery red No. 9 (_ _ _ _ _) Scale 0-6-0 pulled a gondola lettered “(_ _ _ _)” loaded with 6 (_ _ _ _ _ _)-brush pines and a bobber caboose in set No. 8-81019.
12. Two O-Gauge Christmas sets were also offered.  The No. 6-21944 “(_ _ _ _ _ _) Town Express” had a (you guessed it) 4-4-2 and three cars, one of which was a gondola carrying 10 trees lettered “Pine (_ _ _ _) Tree Transport.”  The other, the No. 6-21945, was a (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) set decorated for the “Garland Holiday Town Transit.”
13. The (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) Station Special set for 2000 was the very blue, orange and cream No. 6-21952 with five cars, including a gon filled with a “service (_ _ _ _ _) load” and an (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) vision caboose.
14. Like the No. 6-21952, set No. 6-21782 did not come with track or transformer.  Part of the Postwar (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Series, this was the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) led by a No. 2340 GG-1 painted (_ _ _ _ _ _) with five gold (_ _ _ _ _ _ _).
15. Lettered for the U.S.(_ _ _ _) and painted (_ _ _ _ _) green from pilot to the last of it’s four cars, one of which transported a pair of Willy’s (_ _ _ _ _), was set No. 6-21951, the World War II (_ _ _ _ _) Train.
16. The volume 2 catalog contained a four page fold-out advertising the No. 6-21786 Santa Fe (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Passenger Set.  Pulled by four F-3 diesels in (_ - _ - _ - _) configuration and wearing the timeless (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) paint scheme, the new for 2001 locos were equipped with the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) System.
17. Among it’s seven streamlined aluminum cars were (_ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _)-length domes and a (_ _ _ _ _) with (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _).

4. The (PENNSYLVANIA) Flyer, set No. 6-21971, was led by a 4-4-2 with “puffing (SMOKE)” while the No. 6-21970 set used an RS-3 in (SOUTHERN) Pacific’s “black (WIDOW)” paint scheme to pull three traditional freight cars.
