Fastrack or Realtrax?

What do you guys like better?

I have never used or seen Realtrax. For my main layout I use Gargraves but around the Christmas tree I used Fasttrack. I like how it sets on carpet and how easy it is to connect and disconnect. It seems to have good stability. I actually thought about using it on a layout but Lionel did not have that many different sizes of switches, etc at the time.

It's cheap, flexible (by 10-20 degrees), and a radius small enough to run losts of trains in a very small area.

My second choice would be Fastrack, though. It works with Magnetraction, unlike Realtrax.

Ross is best but the most expensive. Atlis O is my choice., on strafome roadbead.

Just buy 1 circle of each plastic roadbed, place on a plywood bench, drive and listen. That will be the last plastic roadbed track you ever buy. Unless you just want an ovel on the carpet, round the Christmas tree.

I like Fastrack. The track ties on realtrax look kinda wierd, not enough of them. Go with what you like, not what I like though.

What works for me may not work for you. At this point I am committed to RealTrax as that's what I started with and I'm past the point of no return. There's a lot of great product out there, take your time.

After 027, Snap track by K-line is my favorite. It is a tubular O scale on lots of ties. It is realistic looking, not loud, flexible, easy to cut, easily mates with regular tubular O track , relatively affordable, and cheap when on sale at Hobby Lobby.
