The year 2020 has been an interesting year for model railroaders; train shows cancelled, hobby shops closed as non-essential and MTH closing. Moving into 2021 we can be assured that the hobby will continue as there are still 1000's of model railroad enthusiasts and perhaps some pent up demand. New products are always of interest so what would you like to see?
My suggestions for new products: More animation accessories. More fallen flags Eastern Road rolling stock (I live here). Motor kits for the old Lionel Vibrotor driven accessories. A new talking station.
Just for starters,
I would like to see 2021!
I'd like to see FLYonel stop milking the Baldwin switchers and re-issue the PRR B6 switcher. Prefably without all the asinine chinese up grades they like to do. road names could be PRR, Wash Term, B&O,and Long Island and the short line in NJ the Union RR that ran the last PRR steam engine.
I'd like to see more toy trains manufactured in the U.S. (I have zero interest in Lionel's President series)
I'd like to see how MTH/Railking will emerge from Mike's retirement.
Instead of all the matching boxcars and cabooses to the "Heritage" engines, how about some good ol' Fallen Flag liveries on traditional equipment? No need to reinvent the wheel, just apply some accurate heralds (and numerals) to the tooling on hand.

Man, I'm with you Fifedog! Even if they have to be produced in the conventional style without all the "gee-whiz" electronics ( Come on, does anyone really need to run their trains through their SmartPhones?) if simplification of the product line makes it possible to have them made in the USA I'm all for it.
Personally, I'm kissing MTH/Railking goodbye. I've been a more-than-satisfied MTH customer for years so I hate to see them go. But, I'm sure Mr. Mike has his reasons, who am I to critisize?
And I agree Snip, I'd like to see 2021! To borrow a quote from Her Majesty 2020 has been the "annus horribilus!" For me, in more ways than one.
And aboard, Snip!
Thank you for the welcome Flintlock76!I've fired a flintlock a couple times, great experience!
