Train control automation
Posted by jeff9595 on Friday, October 2, 2020 6:42 AM

Thinking about the annual holiday setup, possibly this year using my treasured Lionel 252 loco, and wondering if anyone is aware of information about train control automation systems. The idea is to avoid the "train runs endlessly in a loop" syndrome, but maybe program it to slow down and stop at stations... maybe even to take alternate switched paths. Is there any info out there about accomplishing this?

Any info, advice or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Try the 132 Automatic Stop Station in conjunction with switch wiring and you will have a varied, interesting display.  The double oval shown is just an example, the routes can go anywhere limited only by your imagination & space available, and the principle can be used with reverse loops, figure eights, & other configurations as well.
