POSTWAR LIONEL FLATCARS

  1. The Nos. 2411 “(_ _ _ - _ _ _ _)” and 6411 are both (_ _ _ _) cars which differ from the Nos. 6111 & 6121 which could also come with (_ _ _ _).
  2. 1958’s No. 6519 orange (_ _ _ _ _) - (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) car, which carried a model of a (_ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) for the atomic (_ _ _ _ _) industry, was later to become the No. 6413 Mercury (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) Carrying Car and the No. 6544 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) Firing Car.
  3. It has been speculated that the No. 6826 Flatcar with Christmas (_ _ _ _ _) of 1959 may actually be carrying (_ _ _ _ _) from around the Lionel factory.
  4. Two desirable cars of the era are the Nos. 6827 (_ - _ _ _ - _) Power (_ _ _ _ _ _) and 6828 Mobile Construction (_ _ _ _ _) car.  Both are more valuable if the models of the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Corp. equipment are in their original (_ _ _).
  5. Also in (_ _ _) form was the No. 3330-100 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) which could be purchased separately from the No. 3330 car.
  6. The No. 6430 (_ _ _ _ _ _) (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) car with it’s pair of (_ _ _ _) was the second of a whole family of (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) cars that continued into the modern era.  Although most of the modern cars used (_ _ _ _ _ _) instead of the (_ _ _ _) system used on the No. 3460.
  7. As the “atomic age” blended into the “space age”, the unpainted red plastic No. 3309 (_ _ _ _ _) Missile Launching Car used what once was the die-cast No. 2461 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) car with a (_ _ _ _ _) stand on each end.
  8. The No. 6264 (_ _ _ _ _ _) car came with eight No. 2411-4 (_ _ _ _ _ _).
  9. 3650 was the number given the searchlight car that had a spool of (_ _ _ _ _) that let you place the lamp a few inches from the car and (_ _ _ _) in the (_ _ _ _) before moving the car again.
  10. You could imagine the No. 6175 (_ _ _ _ _ _) launching the No. 0333-100 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) into orbit, if it hadn’t had it’s own spring loaded firing mechanism on the No 3509 car.
  11. Besides an (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) like the one on the No. 6404, other types of motor vehicles traveled by Lionel Lines.  These include the No. 6801-75 (_ _ _ _) like the one that rode on a 6402 flatcar, or the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _), an (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) with a two-poster tail of the type manufactured by the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Corp. which rode on the No. 6500 car.

Lionel never made a Civil War era (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) load (like those on Flyer’s No. 65) to go with it’s Nos. 1877 & 1887 cars which came with 6 (_ _ _ _ _ _) made by Bachmann Bros. and 10 (_ _ _ _ _) sections.  But they did have the No. 6651 U.S.M.C. (_ _ _ _ _ _) Firing Car (to flatten Post WWII rebs).
  13. (_ _ _ _) Plastics provided many of the military loads in 1958-59 including the (_ _ _ _) and (_ _ _ _ _) with loudspeakers on the No. 6803, and the (_ _ _ _) on the No. 6807.  (Didn’t Pyro make a Willy’s (_ _ _ _)?)
  14. If the astronaut you launched with the 3413 car got stuck in the mountainous areas of your layout, you could deploy the (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) on your No. 3419 to rescue him or her.  Then, use the orange (_ _ _ _ _) from your No. 6816 and the Allis-Chalmers (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) from the No. 6817 to clear a landing pad for the chopper.
