Modifying 402e, 380e, 400e for display...
Posted by Hoffman on Saturday, July 4, 2020 8:56 PM

Hello:

I'm hoping someone can tell me how to modify my 400e, 402e and 380e for display.  I have electrified track for my display shelves and I'd like the lights to light up - but disable the motors temporarily.  Grateful for any assistance.

You could put a small piece of paper or light cardboard between one of the brush springs and the brush.

Since you have to go "under the hood" to deactivate the motor, why not install a micro-switch on one of the motor lead wires if there's room to do so?  Then you'll be able to restore motor power with a minimum of difficulty when and if you choose to.
