RED, WHITE & BLUE 2
48 WORDS

  1. Lionel returned the No. 89 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) to their product line in 1956 after a (_ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _) year absence.
  2. The new No. 89, unlike it’s prewar predecessor, was made of (_ _ _ _ _ _ _).  The removable 11 inch (_ _ _ _) was inserted into a 3 ¼ inch (_ _ _ _ _ _) base that had (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) molded into it.
  3. There were also small squares of (_ _ _ _ _ _) on the top of the base and like the No. 89 of 1923, the 48 (_ _ _ _) flag could be raised and lowered.  A small blue Lionel (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) accompanied the (_ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ _) through 1958.
  4. It wasn’t until 1983 that a (_ _ _ _ _) star flag flew over Lionelville.  But no matter how many stars Lionel’s (_ _ _ _ _) had, model railroaders were always sure to “Let it wave (_ _ _ _ _ _ _)” as the 1923 catalog told them to do.
  5. The 6464 series of (_ _ _ _) scale boxcars became more (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) in 1955 with the addition of the No. 6464-275 (_ _ _ _ _) of (_ _ _ _ _).
  6. It’s (_ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ - _ _ _ _) paint scheme bore lettering for the (_ _ _ _ _ _) and (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) railroad and necessitated the creation of the multiple (_ _ _ _) board door.
  7. Reversing the scheme of the (_ _ _ _) roofed BAR car was the No. 3428 Operating (_ _ _ _) Car of 1959 and the non-operating No. 6428 of 1960.  Both were Railway (_ _ _ _) Office cars but the man in the 3428 could deliver (_ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _) Mail to stops along the line.
  8. The No. 3428 was included in the O-27 No. 1640W “(_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Special” outfit of 1960.  Pulled by (_ _ _) nosed No. 218 Santa Fe (_ _ _ _) diesels, the set also included three blue-striped 2400 series cars, paper (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) and a bag of Plasticville (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _).
  9. 1963 saw the addition of an outfit that spread the red, (_ _ _ _ _) and blue across all six of it’s components.  The blue No. 624 (_ _ _ _ _ - _ _) NW2 pulled the light blue No. 3410 (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Launching Car, white No. 6014 (_ _ _ _ _ _) boxcar, red No. 6059 M& St. L. (_ _ _ _ _ _ _), No. 6463 (_ _ _ _ _ _) Fuel 2-dome tanker and the car that gave this set it’s name.
  10. The (_ _ _ _ _) - Prober, as outfit No. 11341 was titled, featured the No. 6407 Flatcar with the red, white & blue (_ _ _ _ _ _ _).  Just as the real (_ _ _ _ _ _ _) Project was using, the rocket made by (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) Plastics mimicked a (_ - _ - _ _ _ _) Redstone missile, though the models Lionel purchased lacked the (_ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) in the spacecraft base.
  11. Another very red, white & blue set was outfit No. 12800 packaged in 1966.  The No. 2346 (_ _ _ _ _ _) and Maine GP9 was accompanied by the Nos. 6464-475 (_ _ _ _ _ _) and 6017-110 caboose in (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) blue, white and black paint schemes.
  12. The very red No. 6436-100 Lehigh (_ _ _ _ _ _) hopper carried coal and the silver No. 6415-25 (_ _ _ _ _ _) dome tank car brought oil to the (_ _ _ _ _ _) and furnaces of (_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) industry while the No. 6428 kept the mail moving.
