Brown is the BEST!

I ordered a couple of new 60' passenger cars last Sat. and they arrived today via UPS. Now typically this is not newsworthy but I think somebody deserves a huge "atta boy" award. We are in the middle of a snow storm today, so far we've had about 6" of the white stuff with another 10-12" on the way this afternoon and tonight. We live in the country on a small acreage with a long, steep 150 yard rock driveway with a turn at the top. I hear a knock on the door and the UPS guy (Jerry) has walked up the driveway to make the delivery!! He's already half way down the driveway before I can get downstairs to the door but you can rest assured his superiors will hear about his customer service. Often times Fed Ex and others will just put stuff in a plastic bag and drape it over the mail box at the end of the driveway. UPS just scored big points with me. The other good thing is that the cars were packed in the best manner I've ever seen, thank you Caboose Stop Hobbies in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

I think it's going to be a fine day in spite of the weather[:)]

These are fantastic passenger cars from MTH.

Hi Jon,

I have to agree, Big Brown did a great, even outstanding job Christmas week. We have very bad weather, extra Christmas deleivery for them to make, and I still received packages overnite or within 2 days.

John your picture is great ! Is that your layout. If so do you have more pics. The passenger cars look good, and so does your vehicles, looks like a little airstream there.

Tim--

Thanks for kind words. I like those 60' cars so much I just ordered three more but of a different style. The little trailer is a joke on my sister in-law and husband as they have a huge motor home and he is forever getting speeding tickets so I found that old trailer and VW van for them plus an Iowa Highway Patrol car pulling him over. I even did a decal with their names on each of the passenger cars.

I have an album that will bore you to death with lots of pic's that you are welcome to look at. It shows quite a bit of progress from the beginning.

I have found the problem with brown is not in the delivery guys but in going through certain terminals. I never use brown if it has to go anynear chicago, or new york and especially at christmas.
Most of the time I use the uspo and have had excellent luck with them.

I've never had a problem with UPS. It's cheaper to ship with FedEx but they lost a package I sent last year and they refused to reimburse the cost. I
