The later RTA scheme:
I remember seeing them in the 80's on the Shaker line. This film is dated 1974:
This one is clearer. The PCC's don't start showing up until about 5 and a half minutes in, otherwise it's mostly the St. Louis Car Co. "Bluebirds" early on. The film is likely from 1961, as some keen eyed viewers have identified automobiles from that model year. There's also NKP and NYC freight and passenger action, including a Central RDC. Also note the PCC vs. Bus shot around 12:15 and what may be a combined Twentieth Century Limited/Empire State Express at 31:40:
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
Postwar Paul Flintlock, I had to get that shot for you. Hopefully brings back great memories!! Paul
It does Paul it does, but not of the cars. My favorite uncle worked for Public Service for thirty five years, and the cars re-enforce my pride in him.
By the way he's still with us at 96! Strong as an ox too!
