Thrust washer for a 3360 Burro Crane
Posted by MickeyDemian on Sunday, March 24, 2019 8:55 PM

Hello All:

In trying to salvage and repair a 3360 Burro Crane, I found the motor was lacking a Lionel Part # 600-129 thrust washer.  My questions are if this is an essential item and also does the motor require two of these, one on the top shaft and one on the bottom shaft?  Another words should  I place one on each side of the commutator to take up vertical movement as the worm gear moves during operation?   Has  anyone ever made there own thrust washers out of standard nylon washers?

There is only one needed on the top of the armature, and Jeff Kane (Toytraintender.com) sells them for $.25 each.
