Another Sign Id ?
Posted by traindaddy1 on Friday, March 8, 2019 9:30 AM

Hello: These are cast metal signs (X is 3 1/4" tall) with round bases. Don't think they are Lionel. Any ideas who made them? As always, many thanks.

Well I tried Marx, American Flyer, Authenticast, JohillCo, Britains, Lesney, Dinky and even Asahi Toy Company but I couldn't find round base models of U.S. RR signs.

Penny: Me too! Appreciate your effort. There is a set just like this up on ebay but the seller says "Lionel?." Guess he's in the same boat. Thanks again.

I would suspect they are Arcade or some other cast iron toy manufacturer, as opposed to one of the train companies.
