Need Help American Flyer motor problem
Posted by irontooth on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 9:00 PM

I have a #360  that was rebushed, front motor runs great, rear motor not so much. the rear motor will run for a bit then it locks up and will not turn, move the wheels a bit it will run again then lockup. I have done all the things I can think to do but it still will lockup. The motor runs warm too. Has anyone had this problem and solved it? Thanks for the help.

Hello Mr. Carp,

I just got the problem figured out yesterday, after the chassis had been rebushed, the axle gears did not get pressed on straight, I pressed them out and redid them. Binding went away and now the chassis runs like new.
