Glacier Line RR Pics?

The layout featured in the November 2018 issue (Volume 31 Number 8) was a very nice addition to the many outstanding ones featured in CTT over the years.

However I was disappointed to see there weren't any pictures of the roundhouse and yard located in the upper right hand side shown in the diagram:

The text states, "...the Coys saw the advantages of constructing large yards and fiddle areas at each end of the route for storing or switching in and out locomotives and cars.  They elected to conceal those staging areas from view, but made sure every hidden section was easily and comfortably accessible."

Those concealed areas described appear to be unique to this layout.  Why not take pictures of this particular aspect of the layout?  Other layouts featured DON'T conceal sections of their layouts.  I found that feature to be particularly interesting, and I wondered exactly how it was done.  Yet the article didn't include any pictures from this highly unusual feature.

Does CTT have any unpublished photographs of this area?  I'd love to see them.  I'd appreciate learning how the section was made "comfortably accessible" also.

Hi everyone,

There was a miscommunication with the Coys and this video was never made. However, there are videos still available to watch on YouTube:

Also, we don't have any extra unpublished photographs to share. Generally, we publish most of what is sent in for a story, unless there are images not suitable for publication (out of focus, too small to print, etc.) or they are similar to others we've chosen.
