Who wants small layouts? Here ya go!

I have just whipped up a set of smaller layouts for thsoe who have no space:

http://www.thortrains.net/marx/35mth1.html

These use MTH Realtrax. You can substiture regular O, if you wish.

BTW - Fastrack has a 36' curve diamater that is measured from the center of thje track. It cannot fit a 36" board, and so is unfeasible for mini layouts.

They look good. What can you do with 40 x 42 inches?

Not impossible. 40 by 42 inches is tight, but can be done. You want O27, O31 tubular or MTH RealTrax?

It was more of a joke. That measurement is wall to wall in a closet. With the sloping ceiling it's useable space is actually a bit less than 40" deep. I've settled on a loop with 5" straights. I did manage a 1 car siding using the curved part of a switch for the main.
If you still wanna give it a go, 031 tubular.
Thanks

No problem - I was ableto cook up 5 plans for O tubular, 5 for O27 and 6 for Realtrax. I will post them tomorrow afternoon or early evening, along with more 3' by 5' layouts.

Here they are:

We have them for O, O27 and RealTrax. This is just the start. I am currently doing a set for Atlas O and will see if anything this size is worth doing with Fastrack.

Great imagination! These are awsome given the space restrictions. Do you also design the boxes they pack train sets in?

Wow, I'm speechless. I might have to do some experimenting tomorow if i have time.
One thing I'm not sure of is the over hanging loco might hit the wall.
Thank you

I like all those plans. Proves yet again that a large layout is not always the best layout
