Super O Power Blades
Posted by ben10ben on Monday, December 27, 2004 9:54 PM
I bought a decent sized box of Super O today to hopefully integrate into my layout one of these days.

I got 18 curves, 8 straights, two half straights, two half curves, two uncouplers, and one #43 power track. It cleaned up well, and I've only found two or three broken locking tabs. Most sections have a full complement of pins, as well. This whole lot cost me a grand total of $35, which I felt was a very good price.

Anyway, out of the whole lot of 31 separate sections, I only found 5 power blades. I only plan to set up a small loop for the time being, so I called up my parts dealer and ordered 15 more power blades. What detered me from ordering more, though, was the cost. I can afford $.50 each for doing a small layout, but anything decent sized is obviously going to cost a fortune.

My question to you all, then, is there any place where powerblades can be had for less than the seemingly high price of $.50 each?

Thanks for any help,

Thanks,
That's a little bit better. Someone on the OGR forum pointed me toward a person selling them for $25 for 100. That's a pretty darn good price, but I don't need that many now. Should I decide to integrate it extensively into my layout, that will probably be the option that I take. Until then, though, looks like I might be buying from George Trebolt. 12 for $4 does beat 10 for $5 by a little bit.
