Proper way to wire 3 wire Lionel Mainline Crossing gate using 2 transformers

I have a powermax transformer that I'm using for accessories and a CW-80 i'm using just for my train.  I have a ceiling layout and i'm wanting to wire up a Lionel mainline crossing gate #14098 to an accessory activator track section of my Fastrack.  The instructions that came with the Mainline crossing gate are confusing and don't match the directions that came with the mainline crossing gate.  The gate has a red/black/yellow wire coming out of it.  Could one of you guys/gals who is well versed in wiring help out this newbie?  I'm not sure what wire goes to which transformer and which wires go to the Accessory activator part of the track etc.  Thanks!  Hopefully I described this so it makes sense.
