unwanted emails and ads plus unsecure login page
Posted by joetrains on Monday, June 4, 2018 4:14 PM

I have just reset my preference not to recieve emails and notifications for the second time. I hope it doesen't get reset by your program again.

Why is the login page unsecured?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It should be secure. I’ll verify it with online publishing tomorrow. It hasn’t shown as insecure on my browser and I had to log in three times today.

Firefox (on Windows) tells me your login is insecure.

Still cannot log in from my android device, using Firefox or native browser.

To  login with android I have to go to the full site then switch back to the mobile app. And font is all ÷%€£¥ up. You never know what you will end up with.

If you guys could shoot me screen caps of what you see when your browser is telling you the site is insecure, I'd apprciate it. It wasn't showing that at home on my iPad and I'm at the office and it isn't showing that on Safari or Firefox. Send it to bkeller@kalmbach.com.

Same insecure message for me on Slimjet (a version of Chrome). Only way I was able to stop the flood of e-mails was to not have subscriptions to anything. It's a pain in the buttinski, but I just deal with it.

Bob, you guys got a worm in your house, Check what happened to my reply post to SJ in the coffee pot when I tried to post pictures like I have been doing for years????  Surprise

Cursor jumps where ever it wants to go  and it filled the page with pictures all over the place???

When I use Firefox it always show as unsecured and I see no lock in front of the webb address just a warning to be careful here.

There is also NO padlock  in the front of the webb address so the site is NOT secure!!

The only thing there is  the Site Info button button.

I notified our online publishing folks this morning as well as a link to this thread. When Joe sent me a screen cap, I forwarded that to them as well.

Is anyone still getting an unsecure notification on their browser for the log in?

Just checked Bob. Still the same

There is still NO padlock  in the front of the webb address so the site is still not secure!!

The only thing there is this Site Info button button. When I click on this button in the web address it tells me the site is unsecure. Using MS Edge browser

Bob, Still no change. I wonder if any of you at CTT wonder why people like me, won’t go digital here? Well this has a lot to do with that!

The internet is dark enough without knowing your jumping into a black hole. And why when I do log on here I log off ASAP.Huh?

I never noticed the lack of the padlock indicating this site is not secure....    Good catch. Indeed, its showing this site is not secure.  Hopefully they'll get on it and fix it soon!

All I can tell you is what online told me, that they are working on it. If/when they resolve the issue, I’ll post it here.

"A padlock icon, or lock icon, displayed in a web browser indicates a secure mode where communications between browser and web server are encrypted. This type of connection is designed to prevent anyone from reading or modifying the data you exchange with the website."

The form is not working in a secure mode but interestingly Kalmbach's online stores have the lock.

Thanks Bob please do.

I would think just reading the forums would be fine but once you log in it should become secure. That other forum is always showing the lock so not sure?

I don't expect a quick resolution to the issue, Kevin, I will post something when I'm told it has been fixed.

Now that Bob has been sent packibng I do not think this site will ever be fixed and made safe to use or view. My system shows that Tracking attempts are being blocked on this site, Watch out for ID theft here people!!!!!
