Pre War latch couplers
Posted by mgbbob on Thursday, February 8, 2018 10:04 AM

Over the years I have developed a fondness for pre war cars, expecially lithographed ones.  While I have replaced latch couplers on some many have the originals. I am constantly having problems with uncoupling.  Any good advise out there on getting the old ones adjusted right?  Box couplers are more reliable but I hate to change everything over.  It is no wonder Lionel took over when the knuckle coupler came out.

it takes two hands, one to get both at the same level, the other to lift both latches and join or seperate them. I prefer them over the box couplers.
