I recently rebuit a Marx Commodore Vanderbilt engine and used a wheel puller to remove the drivers in order to clean the motor thourghly. How do I reinstall the drivers accurately on the axel so that they go on straight and not wobble once installed? Thanks for your help. Merry Christmas!
The only way to do it properly is with a wheel press and the proper cups.
Take it to a hobby shop that has one, and they will mount the wheels properly for you.

TrainLarry is correct, the proper way is to use a press with the proper wheel cups. Wheel cups are tools cut in such a manner to support the wheels while they are being pressed so they are not damaged and are square to the axle.
That being said, I have re-installed wheels on a Marx 666 using the handle of a screw driver to tap them onto the axle. Admittedly, this method is very risky and could go very wrong. The trick is to work slowly and carefully when starting the wheel onto the axle. You also need to pay attention and keep the wheels proeprly quartered so the connecting rods will not bind.
As always, if you are not comfortable trying something like this, seek out someone who has the proper tools.
