Saw the new AF geeps at York this past week. Lionel has Butcherd the frames again !! For some strange reason they have sawed off the end steps to add the Baldwin trucks. And now the pilot is a cheap plastic add-on like Lionels Geeps. Looks like hell.! Anyone else agree with this ??
They butcher most of their Geeps. Current Lionchief plus geeps are horrible! End railings right in the middle of the steps...
I'm not carrying the water for Lionel by any means, but I purchased one of their Lionchief Plus GP-20's several months ago and I like it just fine. Looks good and runs good.
To each his own I guess, or is it some other Geeps beside GP-20's you're talking about?

No, look at the latest catalog. They show, and I saw it, a ATSF GP7 with the Baldwin switcher trucks.
Yes that is them, the UP, NKP , The xmas engine. ETC.
