Paint a white stripe on the hood and take the side pipes off and people will think they're in TexUS. If the driver has a white beard and is smoking a pipe they will certainly think it's Santa's Favorite Elf Boy, DooooDaaaah!

Hobo - Nope...I cheated and put a '67 Big Block hood on it. It's a '65 and it was born with a 365 HP, 327 fuelie engine, but the original owner wrapped it around a tree and replaced it with a defanged, declawed 350 out of some gramma's station wagon. Just a mild cam, good intake, and carb. It'll still scoot with the 4:11 posi rear end and close ratio 4 speed. I'm too old for anything fast!!! Chiefie's Corvair could probably dust it...

Jim, it doesn't make that difference.. Those cars have the looks, no matter how fast you drive them.. But I think that the white stripe, suggesting that it's a tuned version, is a bit overdone to a grandma's stationwagon in a fancy dress..[:D]
Sorry, I make jokes about it, and I only could whi***o have those car's..
Petrol is expensive here, so everything with a v8 is not done...[V]

Chief, petrol got expensive when we had a Southern Peanut Framer in the White House, back in the 70’s. As I recall, it went from $0.32 per gallon to over $1.00 per gallon and it hasn’t stop since.

Hello Everyone! No wonder Jim loves Corvairs. They certainly aren't the fastest cars around and with their smoke production Fire Trucks would be following them all over town waiting for them to burst into flames.I think a better car for Jim would be a Chevy Nova. Now those are very nice cars with no smoke or flames to worry about either[:)] and the styling is very sharp.they are still popular cars to own these days......Keith.
