Has anyone ever tried to repair rewind the voltmeter on this type of transformer?

Portlines has replacement meters that will fit.
They are not reproductions, they do not look like the originals.

I have a transformer with a bad meter too.
Don't know of any way to repair.

I wonder how many voltmeters are out there that are not working. If we knew the wire diameter and how many turns there are I think most could be repaired? The one I have is not working only because the left stud that the winding is soldered to , the wire is broken off because the stud was turning . This wire is at the beginning of the wind and I could not find end to resolder it to the stud. The end of the coil is soldered to a resistor and the resistor is soldered to the right stud. When you are tighting the nuts on the outside of the meter you have to make sure the stud does not turn. Irontooth
