My Walther's Palace Theatre mysterious stopped working yesterday. I beleive the problem is in the external power source. Does anyone know if I can get a new power source?
Thanks in advance,
George
Atlas O now makes the theater. While it is possible that the power supply has changed, you might want to contact their customer servic to see if the supply they offer works with the Walthers version.

Thanks Bob. That's waht I'll do.
Is it the transformer or the lead? The wire right at the plug or at the transformer is vulnerable for breaking. Use a VOM and test for voltage on the plug. Move the plug around to see if it goes on or off. If you find a break it's possible to repair. If the voltage is good then it's something in the building. If it is the transformer, Look at the label to see what the output voltage and amperage is rated at. Check the polarity. If you find a replacement with opposite polarity you can cut the wire and reattach it to the opposite leads. You should be able to find a new or second hand replacement pretty easily.
Pennsyelectrics,
There is no noise or vibration on the transformer at all. There should a 60 cycle hum. I did look at the label and there is information on it about the output and polarity. I googled "wall wart" and several things came up. Digikey was one of the firms. I have heard of them but never ordered anything. Thanks for the reply.
I finally went to Radio Shack and bought a universal AC-DC adapter. It has a slide switch that allowed me to select variuos low side voltages, including 5 VDC, which is what the original had on the tag on the back. I did have to adapt it to the plug that went into the theater building. The theatre works like a champ now.
