Made a Hobo Camp for my Layout
Posted by AirMojo on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 1:45 PM

I'm preparing to make a video of my O-gauge train layout, and wanted to make a few billboards for it.

I got the idea of making a triangular billboard that has three different advertising signs.  I remember seeing a photo in a Classic Toy Trains magazine of someone making a hobo shack out of an old caboose.

I scrounged up an old caboose that I had, and decided to make a hobo camp.

I bought the hobo figures from Woodland Scenics... really liked that there was a hobo playing a harmonica included, since I play harmonica and plan on putting some harmonica music on my video.

My father worked for Golden Age & Pepsi bottling about 30 years ago, so I have lots of Pepsi related items on my layout.

Here are some photos:

Yeah, it did turn out to be a hobo paradise... a place where I would like to hang out !
