A year ago I removed all the Fastrak from my yard and so far bought 23 all stainless 37" flex tracks. It's mainly a yard but there will be a turnaround loop around it. My mom says she is allergic to cork. I have untested allergies along with Lyme disease so I'm sensitive to what I breath. I almost always have sinus issues because of the Lyme. I had white Sil Foam Seal under the Fastrak but it's not attached to the plywood. I got stainless steel track so I can keep running the humidifier in the winter. I might be putting down a new sheet of plywood before laying the track. Can the tracks ties have mold on them if I have the humidity too high? I still have 12 year old Lionel tubular on the rest of the layout.

Did you buy Gargraves with wood or plastic ties? The wood probably would support mold growth, but the plastic wouldn't.
Wood ties.
My next Gargraves track order will probably be plas tie all three rails stainless.
Anyone have any suggestions for the best online seller of Gargraves? My last two orders were through Trainz which went well but if I ask them questions through Ebay they can be a bit slow.
