Posted by Sturgeon-Phish on Sunday, February 12, 2017 7:50 AM

Here is a follow up picture of the model of the Sciotoville bridge incorporated in a layout at the train show last November

Here is a rough idea of the All Aboard setup I want to use for this coming November train show

The train show from a few years back

Have fun

Here is the real bridge

With the model weighing 400 pounds it would require some impressive beanchwork!

Jim,

Thanks for the photos of the All Aboard layout.  I have a number of the panels that I have collected over the years.  I think I have at least two of the 6 panel sets and a variety of other panels.  I keep thinking that one of these days I will assemble a layout for a show.  Thanks for the inspiration.

My offering this week is a combination of American Flyer O and S and Lionel.  The S gauge train shed will work with O too.

Okay I guess I need to get in on the American Flyer kick you all been doing. Now this is a kit bash actually, It has American flyer inners and not sure who exactly made the trolley shell but it's an interesting piece. Not sure if I have shared these before but here it is again in case I did.

And the bottom so you can see it is a 3 rail American Flyer piece

Well with a little more searching I found the shell for it, what it originally was before some one put a A.F. motor under it

http://www.binnsroad.co.uk/railways/mitsuhashi/index.html But I'm at a dead end again. Can't seem to find a company that deals in toys with this name in japan.

I took a look at some of my favorite dealers and there doesn't seem to be anything in current production that's similar.

Here's one that sells antiques that might be able to help: http://www.toysofthepast.com/index.html.

Try Ebay under the category "vintage and antique toys" with the search: (train, locomotive, railroad) which is where I usually have good luck.  http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_PrefLoc=1&_sacat=717&_nkw=%28train%2C+locomotive%2C+railroad%29&_sop=1

Works well for finding stuff from sellers who have no idea what they're selling.

Sturg - I like the BLM Union meeting in that last shot!

Penny - too fun! My son and I built that Meccano loco set quite some years ago. Long gone.

I like the avatar change Becky!  Great shot!

What kind of mileage do you get on that moon rover?

I figured I'd switch them a round for awhile.  As for the rover, I'll let you know what kind of milage I get when I take it apart and try to sell it out of the garage this summer.  Big Smile

...apparently you can't post photos like mine on that "other forum" because I guess the webmaster finds them offensive or something.  I think I'll be happy when he retires.

the webmaster isn't the only one doing the moderating over there. And at least to me, I think it's the others that have a heavy hand on the delete button.

I don't know who it is but I'm getting pretty sick of it.  Makes me glad I'm not an ogre subscriber.  I'd hate to be paying for the priveledge of censorship.

"Adolf's Forum?"  That had me scratchin' my head.

"Ogre Forum."  OK, NOW I get it.  I don't mess around there myself, seems like a closed club, no outsiders invited or wanted, although I do like the mag.

Quite honestly, I don't like the way that "other forum" is laid out anyway.  It's confusing and makes my head hurt.  Not hard to do in my case.

THIS Forum is a much better place to be.
