Fun photos Jim. They bring back fun memories of the running flamingo gags that appeared in Sunday Photo Fun. If I remember correctly Fife was at the root of many of them. In 2008 I posted a story and photos entiled Flamingos Invade. Here are some of the photos I used to illustrate the story.

SUPERBOWL MATCH UP
Lionel and Flyer go head to head!
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
That looks very nice Penny! A Lionel and an American Flyer side by side. I have mainly Lionel & MTH trains in O gauge(over 110 freight and passenger cars & 18 engines), have 4 American Flyer engines and almost 20 freight cars in S gauge.

At least Lionel never blew it's substantial points lead.
And here I was expecting some Yankees to get burned by Atlanta, for a change!

Not really a fair match up ya know. The flyer is knuckles from the loco to the front half of the tank car and links from the rear half to the caboose! Not to mention the high end features of the Lionel's vs. the starter set equipment of the Chicago upstart. But the similar cars parked next to each other made for an interresting photo-op.
