Hi, I've looked searched the internet numerous times for some information on this but can never find anything. Does a reference chart exist on the types of rivets and eyelets Lionel used on their Post War Trains which gives the sizes, dimensions and part numbers. I've seen charts for the their screws but nothing on rivets or eyelets. I have Greenberg's Repair and Operating Manual for Lionel Trains 1945-1969, but there's nothing in there on rivet/eyelet part numbers or dimensions.
Thanks, TJR
All of the small format reprints of the Lionel service manual are abridged. In general, parts lists are omitted, which is where you might find Lionel part numbers for the rivets. The free Olsens library includes these service station manual pages. Or you could purchase the large format, four volume set of Lionel service documentation that was published by Greenberg. But the service station material generally does not provide size information, only Lionel part numbers.
Thanks cwburfle, I found the sheet on rivets in Olsens that does show pictures and the Lionel part numbers which helps a lot. TJR
