Question about Post-war Lionel and American Flyer values

Can anyone shed some light on Post-war Lionel and American Flyer values. Are they continuing to appreciate......are they depreciating. Can anyone help? I have been out of the loop for quite sometime..........thanks for your input.

Right now, they're pretty much stable. Some prices are declining slightly, as Postwar continues to lose operator market share to some newer pieces, and some are increacing slightly. As collectors die off, I wouldn't be suprised to see prices decline over the next 10-20 years.
