Memo to Lionel:Model the Brightline Trains in Florida
Posted by overall on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 10:42 AM

To our friends at Lionel;I hope you decide to build and sell an O gauge version of the new Florida East Coast Brightline passenger train. It is the first new privately operated rail passenger service since Amtrak took over in 1971. Classic passenger trains are great, but there are some very positive things going on in the present day also. One other thing, please make it to where it can negotiate 042 curves.

Thanks in advance.

I just checked out some photos of this passenger train on the internet and all I can say is "WOW".  I would love to see this passenger train made by Lionel. Yes

I would love to see somebody model an FEC Bright Line train.

Just a little note about Amtrak and where it runs in Florida. Amtrak runs on CSX tracks, not FEC. The new FEC train would run from Orlando to Miami FL on FEC tracks. Currently working on the southern end of FEC for new tracks. Don't know how the section is doing from Orlando to Cocoa Beach where the tracks will tie in with existing FEC tracks.

Interested in southest Pennsylvania railroads; Reading & Northern, Reading Company, Reading Lines, Philadelphia & Reading.
