I have an old train set that belonged to my late husband and would like to find out if it is of any value. It is probably at least 50 years old. There is a Lionel transformer and the train set itself appears to be a Marx. As I live in Australia, I would like information on local dealers who might be able to assist with my question. Thanks

Hi,

I have a Marx Price guide from a couple years ago. If you post some additional information about the pieces in your set, I can give you an estimate of value.

Post information on the road name of each car, the number on each car (usually on the side of the car), the color of the car and the type of car (box car, tank car, diesel engine, etc.). Also, if you have the original set box or any instruction sheets from the set, any titles or numbers from them would also be helpful in determining value.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Regards,

Tim Pignatari
