I'm new to this forum but not O-gauge toy trains, having been into those since 1953 (age 4) and except for brief periods (college dorm) had toy trains around all my life. My seventh layout is featured in the current (October '15) CTT. Anymore, I mostly like scale stuff, and doing interesting and different projects.
I've hung out on several other toy train forums but friends urged me to stop in here, so I will be.
If no one has ever done it that way, it might be fun to try.
Welcome aboard !
Have enjoyed many of your projects.

Welcome and congratulations on your layout being featured in CTT. If by chance you are heading to York this fall, we normally have a photo taken of the forum members. Unfortunately I do not remember the day and time, but we meet at the CTT booth.

Very nice article in CTT. I particularly like the folded dogbone within your other lines, and your use of city streets.
Congrats on getting published.
