What should I do about lack of sound in tender?

I bought a used Lone Ranger General & Tender off E-Bay a short time ago. It runs fine and smokes great, Problem is there are no sounds coming out of the tender. I checked the volume knob and nothing. Also no brake sounds. Is the switch in backward or should I call Lionel about fixing it?

If it was sold as working on e-bay and it does not work I would take it up with them first.

KRM, The Doctor is replying to your post: The seller did not state any condition issues. I am going to contact a local Service Station about repairs. Thank you for reading and replying.

I have that loco.  Contacting a service station sounds like the best way to go.

But I can tell you that mine practically has to fly off the rails before the squealing brake sounds will activate.
