Converting lionel 031 tube over to Fasttrack.

I'm new to this page and i'm just wondering. Guessing it has been posted before. Will my postwar acessorie cars/engines work with this track? I know they will run just fine, But its the function of the accessories I worry about. What I have seen (other sites from around 2007 give or take a year nothing new) only the plunger style will work not the shoe style for opporation of the action or uncoupling. Or has there been changes since then? Any help will be great, thanks

Some cars like the brakeman car will not operate with FasTrack but for the most part any car that can be operated with an accessory shoe can be operated with the FT remote control section. For those cars that do not you can use FT to O transition tracks to insert a specialized control track.
