We made a two-day trip to Rhode Island to visit the layout of Wood Foss and his wife Kathy. Aside from their beautiful layout, their hospitality was the absolute best. We spent most of Friday afternoon running trains and learning more about how the layout all came about. Their layout would be a good candidate for CTT. Great fun!
Then Wood and his wife took us on a tour of Newport that is spectacular (particularly in the summer when the boats are all in the water). I am very familar with Newport, but this was my wife's first trip. Friday evening we finished off a wonderful day with a lucious dinner at the waterfront.
I have often said that friends make this hobby special, and this is a classic example just why.

A statement of fact. I have had the pleasure of some members of the CTT forum come to San Diego to visit and tour the museum. There are so many on here that I have not met in person but I still call friend. To have the opportunity to break bread together and talk / run trains is just the icing on the cake.
Remember the Veterans. Past, present and future.
