I am wiring the throws on the switches and the switch next to the cross section when I wired it up won't throw to let the train into the yard.but if I pull the wire of the center peg I can turn it by hand and the current allows it to stay hooked the wire back on and and it moves to the straight section when try to throw it to yard the current keeps it straight. Help please.
Do you have all the insulating pins in the corect places? Your description indicateds one or more insulating pins is missing.
The lowest switch in the picture should have insulating pins in the right hand rails of the divergent path and the straight path.
The switch connected to the crossing should have insulating pins in the left hand rails of the divergent path and the straight path. This is true for every switch on your layout.
Hi survoguy thanks for the reply. I found what happened I hooked wire to the switches so ran the wire to the front of layout to connect the throws. I hooked up one throw and I tested it worked ran a train over to make sure it throws on own that when the next switch in line started to act like that. But when I hooked the throw to that switch it was fine but the next switch in line did it and so on til all the throws where connected now it's all working not sure why this is but oh well
