This is from the Portlines website; sorry but it appears you are out of luck if you are looking for a replacement for a checkerboard water tower.

TOWERS	(ID: 287)	BUBBLER-TUBE: 10" clear for 772 Towers---VERY LIMITED.	$18.00
TOWERS	(ID: 288)	BUBBLER-TUBE: 11.5" clear for Checkerboard WaterTower---CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE.

I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!

Yes the tube was for the 772 checkerboard water tower.

Thanks for the info. I will check out Portlines and hope that they will have the tube again for the checkerboard water tower.

Lionel reissued the # 772 Water Tower, and have the bubble tube for it. Call them to see if it will fit the original version.
