I am selling a train car on line using photos. I was just told that the original box in came in "looks like a repo"?  What are they saying?  it IS the original.

Thanks.

Sadly, because it is desirable to have the original packaging material, and those extras add value, there are folks who manufacture reproductions. The honest manufacturers mark their reproductions as such. The dishonest ones don't. IMHO, a reproduction box adds no value. Is your box a reproduction? You wrote that it is in the original box it came in. But you haven't written what the item is. Did you purchase the car when it was newly made? If you purchased it more recently, it is possible that you purchased it in a reproduction box. Or the person who told you the box was a reproduction could be mistaken.

Or 3rd the person realizes you know very little about trains and is giving you a line trying to get price down a pic would help but you need a photobucket or shutterfly or another hosting account to do so.

I would state the car and box are sold as is. You already told them it's the box you received.
