Lionel Fork Lift Accessory
Posted by Hotrod on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 8:44 AM

Trying to learn which Lionel Fork Lift accessory is better: the original 264 back in the 1960's or the newer version: 14000. Often the newer remake has some more advanced features in it's motor or operation, but that's not always the case. I see both listed on E-bay, so I'd prefer buying the better version.

Thanks,

The newer version has a motor and gearbox; the original had the vibrotor motor, string and pulley which could be labor intensive to get to work properly, and are somewhat voltage sensitive. For ease of operation, get the newer version.

Vibrotor?  Was that intentional or a typo?  If the former, I like it.  Really suits the description of that contraption.

The word is used by Lionel, however the mechanism in the Fork Lift Platform, Lionel called a vibrator motor. My error.
