"The Toy For the Boy"
Getting started on my project for the annual "Festival of Trees" at Thanksgiving. This year instead of doing something for the Gingerbread Village, I decided to enter a miniature instead. The subject is going to be a shadowbox of a toy shop window with a Flyer layout display. Decided to get started with the most difficult part; the train cars themselves.
Here are the miniatures next to the "prototypes".
These are the three cars I have done so far.
The last two items for the train will be a Santa FE PA1, and a standard red caboose.
I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!

Very impressive Stebby. How are you making these miniatures?
JPG images of original models, downloaded off of the web. I load them into Word documents and that allows me to shrink them to size. Then they are glued onto a core of carved wood. A process not dissimilar to the way they used to build scale model rolling stock back in the pre-plastic era.
