Good Evening All!
Thought it would be good to catch up with the going ons in the CTT forum. After a 5 year hiatus from the hobby ( and this forum ) I got out the Track Brite, scrubbed the rails and swapped out a number of 9V batteries. Had to relearn my Legacy Cab2 all over. The nostalgic smell of engine smoke and ozone got me all enthusiastic again. Looking forward to renewing old acquaintances here as well as making new ones.

Quoth a song from a seventties sitcom
'Welcome back, Your Dreams were your ticket out. Welcome Back. To that same old place that you laughed about. Well the names have all changed since you hung around. But those dreams have remained and they've turned around. Who'd have thought they lead ya (who'd have thought they lead ya) Back here where we need ya (back here where we need ya) Yeah we tease him alot cause we got him on the spot Welcome Back.
Welcome Back Welcome Back Welcome Back!
hard to believe a song from the seventies would work so well here
The song works because it's so true.
Thanks kindly for the warm welcomes. It's true.....you just can't kick that itch for the fun of model railroading ....not like I was ever trying. I've lost count of how many times I've returned to the hobby over the years. Usually a change of gauge went along with the renewed enthusiasm. This revival was spurred on by a chance purchase of a number of HO craftsman kits. After assembling a few buildings and some rolling stock I gave my head a shake. What was I doing wasting time on HO when I had a perfectly fine high rail layout in the den already? Not that the layout is anywhere near finished....are they ever? At least the track is permanently laid and I can run trains. I'll spend my scratchbuilding skills working on something I can actually see. So, I'm back. Oh boy!
