Another waif Lionel locomotive restored to health! When I got it, the side rods and boiler front were missing in action! Now, there's a nice fresh set of rods and a brightly lit boiler front gracing this classic locomotive from 1948! Upcoming: New paint and decals for the loco and tender, and a new smoke unit (the old one had corroded beyond repair)... Photo © me. Pennsy passenger cars courtesy of the good offices of E. O. Costello, a chum of mine who gifted me with the consist.
I love the 2025, it's such a classic! Perfect fit with the tuscan Madisons.
Beats my "Pennsa Fe Broadway Chief"! That's a silver Pennsy GG-1 (with a single red stripe) pulling red stripe Santa Fe streamliners!

Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
My first Lionel train had a 2025 with the 3 green w/gray roof passenger cars.
I still have it and it still runs great.
