An Old MTH Mystery atleast to me?
Posted by RRaddict on Friday, April 4, 2014 11:22 AM

I was hoping one you veterans here can shed some light on a disclaimer MTH used on some of their earlier locomotive boxes. I have several MTH locomotives that have the disclaimer "Full digital sound upgradable". I have searched high and low and I have yet to see one of these upgrade kits. Did MTH ever release them or was it simply Vaporware something that never existed. I know that older QSI Atlas sound systems were made similar if not the same. Any sort of information on this would be great as I can quit looking in every corner of the world for these things.

If i remember correctly. The up grade kits were available from QSI not from MTH.

I did think about that and shot off an e-mail to QSI but I never recieved an answer. I thought that like the Protosound 1 boards that there would be some floating around on Ebay. Thanks so much for the information though.
