I would look on E Bay. There are none currently but 3 sold in the last 3 months, 1 in each of the last 3 months. Prices ranged in the 8-900 dollar range for hardly used. Put it in your save search folder as Lionel 6-11208 and you will receive an e mail when one is up for sale.

I have the 4006 6-11149 version which performs well.

Thanks for the tip. I actually already have a few saved searches on eBay to look for this guy. I was actually involved in the last two. I lost one and the other, the seller apparently dropped it from a decent height while packaging it and had to cancel the transaction after I won the auction. Needless to say, it's becoming a bit frustrating.

Looks like you are on the right track to finding one. Most of the members on this site seem to be into the older trains so I doubt there are many with the engine you are looking for. It took me awhile to find one of the newer SP4 Daylight engines that I was looking for but eventually I found one on  E bay at a buy it now price and bought it minutes after it was listed.

Personally I like the newer trains better than the older ones. Better detailing far better sounds and other features. I still have many older post war models however.
