Greetings to all, a few years ago my father had his prewar American Flyer train restored by Steve Latta in San Diego, it of course came out beautiful but he was missing the left side "valve link" or sometimes called "eccentric link". Anyone know where we could get one? Are the left and right interchangeable, or different? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks to all who have responded to my questions in earlier posts!
your best bet is to find a junker. most folks don't carry prewar Flyer parts. Model Engineering Works used to have a large selection in thier catalog. but it has changed hands so many times and the current owner is not making much of anything but wheels for Flyer.
I would try Henning's Scale Models in Lansdown Pa. He is the main distributer for MEW parts that I am aware of now. Maybe he might have some leftovers.

You could try Eric Trickel at 484-624-4354. I met him at York last year and he probably can help you out. Nice guy to deal with.
