Got mine about a month ago. The colors were a bit different from teh website, which is OK, and the detail looks great. The only drawback for me was that the railsounds for the EP5 are the exact same ones as the GG1. I guess that is the way they sound in real life? Or does Lionel only make railsounds for electric, steam and diesel and thats it, regardless of the model?

Nope, Lionel makes different sounds for diesels and steamers. You should check their website, free stuff and downloads. You'll find a sound erea where you can listen to the sounds on different engines.
Personally I think it's a bit strange to make lokomotive sounds for an electric.. Crewtalk, tower communication etc ok, but an electric doesn't make any more noises than a humm of the transformer and a whieieie when the traction engines gain speed...
