Freight Platform Accessory Question
Posted by Bob Baker on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 10:48 PM

I have an operating freight platform from Lionel in the mid 90's.  There is a couple of moving figures and a lamp.  However, it only has two posts for wires.  Is there any way I can rig the wiring so that the lamp and the figures can be controlled by separate onn/off or momentary switches?  Thanks!

This is the vibrating station with two carts? There should be three connections. The frame the lamp connects to is common (B) and there should be connections for the lamp (C) and coil (A). You can connect the common to the outer rail return (U) and the lamp and coil separately to lamp and power switch.

Here is a link to Lionel's instructions for a similar station. If this is not yours post the model number of yours and we'll try and help.
