Someone here or elsewhere mentioned that one (crash) shot was done for the pilot episode and just used over and over, and you do see that here, as when Morticia and Gomez first operate the trains we see FA AA units pulling a full passenger train, a steam locomotive with freight, and for a few frames, I guess the FM trainmaster pulling a passenger car, then we see the regular wreck scene of the trainmaster with boxcar and Santa Fe F3 with one passenger car. Nevertheless, that footage is great showing the entire layout, looks fun minus the explosion. We should also note that allegedly now, it was the cause of a Lionel trainwreck that caused Morticia speak French infront of Gomez, causing him to get excited, one of the most important running gags of the show.

Sadly they don't have shows like that anymore.

I would not give you a nickel for 99% of the shows that are on TV now and there are a lot more of them with all the channels on cable.

I'm not sure but it appears there where two different sets as if you watch carefully you will see it in O then (5:39)  Super O(6:39) then O(7:02)  then Super O again I can't believe no one else caught this. I've always heard it as the super O set but its ovious it's actually O but they do use the super O for the blow-up.

I did notice that. I imagine those were shot at 2 different times as happens many times when making movies/TV shows.
