Lionel 362 barrel loader
Posted by quizshow904 on Thursday, July 18, 2013 8:35 PM

I have purchased an old used 362 barrel loader. I have reworked the barrel car and it works just fine. I need some help in figuring how to wire the 362 barrel loader into my TMCC layout. I have common to both outside rails and 17 volts to center rail. Should I connect it though an SC-1 or SC-2? It didn't have a controller wire with it.

I don't know anything about TMCC. Seventeen volts is very high for a barrel loader.

Paul,

I've had several 362s on my bench, and 10-12 volts seems to be the ideal range for a 362 in proper adjustment.  Make sure the air gap between the coil and plate on the ramp is set to 1/32" per Lionel's factory spec.

Very high indeed.  I'd connect it to a variable power supply.  In fact, that's what I do.
